TravelSheet: the smart packing list for your trip

No more packing list on a scrap of paper. You pick what the trip is about and TravelSheet assembles the matching packing list for you: beach, hiking, skiing, city break, camping or business travel. You share the list with everyone travelling with you, and each person ticks off their own things on their own iPhone. For iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with iCloud sync, widgets in four sizes and PDF export for printing.

Features

A packing list that builds itself

Instead of starting from a blank page you choose your activities: beach, pool, hiking, skiing, city break, camping or business. The matching items drop straight into the list, basics like toothbrush, ID and charging cable are always included, and duplicates are recognised and listed only once.

Share the packing list with everyone travelling

Share a trip with everyone travelling with you, across separate Apple Accounts. Each person ticks off their own things on their own iPhone, and everyone sees the same progress. No shared login and no account with the developer, sharing runs over iCloud. Whoever shares is told in the same moment that documents and notes become visible to the others.

Widgets in four sizes and Apple Watch

The small widget shows the countdown, the medium one place and weather, on the large one you tick items off without opening the app, and the extra large one puts the packing list next to the pre-departure checklist on iPad. On the watch the countdown, the packing progress and both lists come along, plus a complication for the watch face.

Your own categories, in your own order

Instead of ten fixed categories you create your own, rename them, sort them yourself and hide the built-in ones you never use. You decide the order of a trip’s sections too, and the packing list can be grouped by template and filtered by category.

Luggage weight and airline limits

Give any item a weight, with estimates already built in for common ones. Each bag shows its total, and you can set your airline baggage allowance so the surprise does not happen at check-in. Kilograms or pounds, your choice.

Print your packing list as a PDF

Prefer ticking things off on paper? Export the list as a PDF with checkboxes, grouped exactly as on screen, including notes, weights and the pre-departure checklist. Print or share it directly. If you want to work with the list elsewhere, export it as Markdown, CSV or text: what TravelSheet writes out, it reads back in.

Entry and customs notes for your destination

ID card or passport, visa, recommended vaccinations, duty-free allowances, plug type and the local emergency number, matched to your home country. The documents you need move into the packing list with one tap. Meant as orientation, not as official advice.

Your own templates and a pre-departure list

Adjust the built-in activities or create your own so the next trip packs even faster. Plus a second list for everything to do at home: water the plants, take out the bins, close the windows.

Import the lists you already have

Already keeping a packing list somewhere else? TravelSheet imports OPML, CSV, Markdown and plain text, sorts items into categories automatically and spots what is already on your list, even under a different name.

Weather and countdown for your destination

The daily forecast for your travel dates appears right in the trip view, with a packing hint when rain is expected. On departure day the countdown and your packing progress also run as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen.

iCloud sync, Siri and documents

Trips, packing lists and templates sync through your private iCloud across iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Tickets, booking confirmations and notes live with the trip, and any file type can be dropped straight onto it. Ask Siri what is still missing, or check an item off by voice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is TravelSheet?

TravelSheet is your smart packing list for travel. Create trips, pick activities like beach, hiking or skiing, and the matching items get added to your packing list automatically. On top of that: destination weather, document storage, a pre-departure checklist, Siri shortcuts and a countdown widget for your home screen.

Can I share my packing list with the people I travel with?

Yes. Since version 2.0 you share a trip with everyone travelling with you, across separate Apple Accounts. Each person ticks off their own things on their own iPhone, and everyone sees the same progress. There is no shared login and no account with us, sharing runs over iCloud. Whoever shares is told in the same moment that documents and notes become visible to the others.

Is there an Apple Watch app?

Yes, since version 2.0. On the watch you see the countdown and the packing progress, and you tick off the packing list and the pre-departure checklist on the go. There is also a complication for the watch face. Whatever you tick off on the watch shows up on your iPhone and for the people you share the trip with right away.

Can I create my own categories?

Yes, since version 2.0. Instead of ten fixed categories you create your own, rename them, sort them yourself and hide the built-in ones you never use. You decide the order of a trip’s sections too.

How do activity tags work?

When you create a trip you can pick activities (e.g. beach, pool, hiking, skiing, city trip, camping, business). Each activity has predefined items that are added automatically. Basics like toothbrush, documents and chargers are always included. Duplicate items are intelligently recognized and listed only once.

Can I create my own templates and items?

Yes. In the „Templates" tab you can edit existing activities and create new custom activities with your own items. You can also add individual items directly to each trip's packing list.

Can I import existing lists from other apps?

Yes. TravelSheet imports lists from OPML, CSV, Markdown and plain text files, either straight into a trip or into your templates. Items are sorted into categories automatically, and anything you already have on the list is recognized – even under a different name – instead of being duplicated. In the preview before importing you can still adjust each line individually.

Is my data synced?

Yes, TravelSheet uses iCloud sync. All trips, packing lists and templates sync automatically across your devices, on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Shared trips run over the same path, without anyone needing an account with the developer.

Can I get reminded about my packing list?

Yes. When creating a trip you can enable a reminder. Pick 1 day, 3 days or 1 week before departure. That way you won't forget anything.

Can I reuse a past trip as a template?

Yes, you can duplicate any trip. The copy contains all items of the original trip with the „packed" status reset. Ideal for recurring trips.

Does TravelSheet show the weather at my destination?

Yes. As soon as your trip has a destination with a location, the trip view shows the daily forecast for your travel period (Apple Weather), with a symbol plus daily highs and lows. The forecast covers about 10 days ahead; for trips further out it appears automatically once the dates come into range. If rain is expected, you'll also get a packing hint.

What do the entry and customs notes show?

For your destination, TravelSheet shows – based on the home country you set in Settings – whether an ID card or a passport is required, whether you need a visa, recommended vaccinations, duty-free allowances, the socket type and the local emergency number. The documents you need go onto the packing list in one tap. The information is a guide, not an official source – check your foreign ministry's current advice before you travel.

What is the pre-departure checklist?

A second, short list next to the packing list for everything that needs doing at home: water the plants, take out the trash, close the windows, tell the neighbors. Every new trip is pre-filled from your template, which you can edit in Settings. The trip reminder points out open tasks.

Can I assign items to a piece of luggage?

Yes. Long-press an item and assign it to carry-on, suitcase 1 or suitcase 2. Handy for flights so medication and documents reliably end up in your carry-on. Use the filter menu to view the packing list by piece of luggage.

Does TravelSheet show how much my suitcase weighs?

Yes. You can give every item a weight, and TravelSheet already ships estimates for many standard items. Each piece of luggage shows its total weight, and you can set a limit – your airline's baggage allowance, for example – so going over it is immediately obvious. Whether it's calculated in kilograms or pounds is up to you in Settings.

Can I add notes to individual items?

Yes. Any item can carry a note – in the packing list, in your templates and on the pre-departure checklist. Handy for details like “blue jacket, in the basement” or the dosage of a medication.

What does the shopping-cart flag (“needs buying”) mean?

Swipe right on items you still need to buy before the trip to flag them with the shopping cart. The filter menu shows only those items: your ready-made pre-trip shopping list.

Can I store tickets and documents with a trip?

Yes. In a trip's “Documents” section you can attach photos and PDFs, like tickets, booking confirmations or passport copies. They preview right in the app and are stored and synced exclusively via your private iCloud. In the same place you can also add text notes – for booking numbers, addresses or the Wi-Fi password of your accommodation.

Can I print my packing list?

Yes. From the trip menu you can export the packing list as a PDF – with tick boxes and in the same grouping you see on screen (by category or by piece of luggage), including notes, weights and the pre-departure checklist. You choose what goes on the sheet before exporting; the PDF can then be printed or shared directly.

Is there a home screen widget?

Yes, in all four sizes. The small one shows the countdown, the medium one place and weather, on the large one you tick items off without opening the app, and the extra large one puts the packing list next to the pre-departure checklist on iPad. On departure day the countdown and progress also run as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen.

Does TravelSheet work with Siri?

Yes. Ask “What's still missing in TravelSheet?” to hear the unpacked items of your trip, or say “Check off an item in TravelSheet” to mark something as packed by voice. Both actions are also available in the Shortcuts app.
