Features

Bid and deliver

The full bidding mechanic with trumps, tricks and round scoring. Points are worked out automatically so you can concentrate on the game.

Pass-and-play at the table

One device is enough: the iPhone goes around, everyone sees only their own hand. Ideal for a games night without a deck of cards.

Online through Game Center

Play against friends or random opponents, with a push notification when it is your turn and leaderboards through Apple Game Center.

House rules you can set

Every group plays a little differently. The common variants can be configured so the app follows your table rules, not the other way round.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Trump Bid?

The Trump Bid is the digital adaptation of the classic trump-bid trick-taking game. Each round, you bid how many tricks you'll win, and try to hit your bid exactly. Across 20 rounds, you play against 1 to 5 human or CPU opponents.

How does online mode work?

Tap „Start Online Match". You need an active Game Center account (set up in iOS Settings). You can invite a friend directly or search for a random auto-match. Multiple parallel matches are supported.

What happens when a player quits online?

From version 1.1 on, a CPU automatically takes over the empty seat. The match continues normally and nobody loses their progress.

How do I play solo against the computer?

The lobby has a „Solo vs. 3 CPUs" quick-start button. You can also configure individual seats as CPU via the regular player setup and choose difficulty per seat: Beginner, Medium or Pro.

Can I customize the rules?

Yes. In the lobby under „Rules → Customize" you can freely configure card rank (e.g. position of the 10), suit rank, and the house rule „sum of bids may not equal trick count". Settings apply to the match and are sent to all players online.

Are my games saved?

Yes, all finished games are stored locally on your device (via Apple's SwiftData framework). In the lobby you'll find the „History" button with list, statistics and top-winner ranking. You can delete entries individually or all at once. There is no cloud sync.

When will The Trump Bid be released?
